Works orders and delivery handling system - solution

The solution to the problem of making the system quick to use was to ensure that all delivery notes to be raised are presented in a list. Production staff can then simply tick the items to be delivered (or choose to select all items). Delivery notes are then printed automatically, making the whole process quick and error-free.
To allow Production to send orders back to Sales for amendments, a facility was provided to allow factory staff to request changes to an order. This order is then automatically removed from the works order queue, and appears in the relevant salesperson's in-tray.
